I am so thrilled to be launching a new online radio show this week. It’s called Socially Conscious Investing, and in it I will be interviewing a number of people who are involved in sustainable business practices to impact the world in a positive way.
Social responsibility in business is growing in importance and in recognition, especially with the recent banking and other financial business sector focus. Not only is corporate social investment important in the communities businesses occupy, but social responsibility in investing time and maney is important on an individual basis.
That’s the goal of this new online radio show airing on WomensRadio.com. Our goal is to provide resources and information for people to utilize in making choices as to where to invest their time and money.
In my opinion, we have a unique window in time. The Baby Boomers are reaching an age where they are retiring and making choices as to where to invest their money and time. The values from the 1960s are making a re-entry.
Simultaneously, the millennial generations including gen X and Y tend to be highly participatory and involved with the expectation for immediate results. After all, they were raised with technology and its speed.
It’s a unique period of time when we can combine these energies from diverse generations to impact global change for the better. Ethical investments are becoming a focal point.
Come listen to our introductory episode. It’s only 8 minutes long. Each week hereafter, on this blog, I will announce the following week’s interviewee.
